Contest Procedures

Step 1 Participation in the Contest

You must read and agree to all terms & conditions before entering the contest. Follow the steps under Contest Entry to take part before 30 June, 2018 (Saturday).

Step 2 Contact of Shortlisted Participants

Shortlisted participants will be contacted via Instagram Direct from “@Sonyalphain” Instagram account by end of July 2018. Subsequently, participants will be required to send in their photos with EXIF data intact within the designated period.
*If no response is received within three working days of being contacted, the participant is deemed to have withdrawn from the contest.
**Please be informed that only shortlisted participants will be contacted.

Step 3 Announcement of India Winners

Winners in India will be announced from the beginning of August 2018 through “@Sonyalphain” Instagram account. Winning photos from India may also be shared via “@sonyrxmoments” Instagram account.

Step 4 Announcement of Global Winners

Global winners will be selected among winners from each country, and announced in the beginning of September 2018 on both “@sonyrxmoments” and “@Sonyalphain” Instagram accounts, and also on Sony group websites

Step 5 Dispatch of Prizes

Both India winners and global winners will be notified by the same method as in STEP 2, and will be requested to provide your contact details including address to facilitate the dispatch of prizes.

Terms & Conditions

• Photos entered (“entries”) must have been taken using a Sony DSC-RX Series camera only. Mere shortlisting of entries at India level shall not infer or imply winning of the contest and shall be subject to the selection among global entries.
• Images containing watermarks, including photo credits on the photograph shall be liable for disqualification.
• The Instagram accounts of the Entrants must be set to public in order to participate in the competition. Photographs posted in private accounts under this contest will not be considered as valid entries.
• Digital processing is permitted.
• One person may post multiple photographs; however, notwithstanding the number of photographs, only one photograph per entrant shall be selected for nomination.
• Entries must be original work of the Entrant and all rights (including copyright) must be held by the entrant.
  *please note that use of non-original photographs including any third party source like other websites or blogs shall not be considered as valid entries and may also constitute infringement of copyright for which Sony shall not be responsible in any manner. In addition, photographs featuring people shall be posted only pursuant to obtaining their due consent and Sony shall not be liable for any claims, disputes etc. arising in relation thereto.
• Entrants are strictly prohibited from posting any defamatory, libelous, obscene, pornographic, profane, threatening, or unlawful material or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense or give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law to this contest.
• By agreeing to the instant T&C’s, entrants consent to publishing, reproducing, and publicly transmitting of the photographs posted for promotional and marketing purposes by Sony, free of any charge, royalty & fee etc. to the Entrants.
• Entrants unequivocally provide their consent to Sony in perpetuity, for the usage of such photographs by Sony anywhere in the world, in any medium. Photos entered may be published on Sony Group websites and on social media. Sony may edit or alter the photos entered by trimming or addition of image effects, music or sound effects.
• Prizes in the contest may be rescinded if Sony determines that there has been an infringement of the entry requirements or public order and morality.
• Sony shall not be responsible in case of change in dates of contest or cancellation thereof for any reason beyond Sony’s control including but not limited to Force Majeure.
• Winners' personal information shall be managed as per Information Security Laws of India, and shall only be used for dispatch of prizes, management of entries, and display of winning entries, and for purposes incidental to these activities.
• Contest shall not be applicable (Void) wherever prohibited by Law, Central or State being in force, during the period of this contest.
• Participants who have not attained the age of majority i.e. 18 shall invariably be required to tender a written consent from their parent/ guardian in order to claim prize.
• Employees of Sony India Pvt. Ltd. ("Sony India"), Sony Entertainment television (SET), Sony Videos (SPE) and its affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives and immediate family members of such Sony group companies employees are not eligible to participate in the contest. Citizens of foreign countries residing in India/ or non-residents Indians are also not eligible to participate in the contest.
• Decision of Sony India in terms of selection of entries shall be at its own discretion and shall be final and binding.
• Sony shall not be liable for any damage or loss (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from personal injury or death, or loss of, or damage to property, which might be suffered or sustained in connection with the Contest or the prize, except to the extent to any liability not excluded by law.
• Sony may, without advance notice cancel, suspend or postpone or change duration of the contest at any time.
• Sony reserves the right to amend / modify The 'Terms and Conditions' contained herein from time to time without giving any prior notice.
• Disputes, if any, relating to this Contest shall be dealt in accordance with Laws Applicable in India & courts in New Delhi shall have the exclusive Jurisdiction over the subject matter.
